Giveaway Rules & Regulations
Please read our standard Giveaway rules and regulations carefully. It is the responsibility of the participant to understand the terms and conditions of our Giveaway.1. The Giveaway
The “Fabulous Summer Diva “ MakeUp Giveaway is held by HotNewMakeUp (the "Giveaway Organizers"). The Giveaway runs on the Internet from July 07 2010 at 12:00 am (ET) until August 03 2010 at 11:59 pm (ET) (the "Giveaway Period")
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to all who visit the HotNewMakeUp website who are 12 years of age or older (unless specified otherwise), but excluding employees, directors and officers of HotNewMakeUp, any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of HotNewMakeUp, employees, directors and officers of the Giveaway sponsor(s), (the “Sponsor(s)”), employees, directors and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members of any of the foregoing.
3.How to enter.
No purchase necessary.
3.1 To enter fill out the Entry Form with your name and e-mail address;
3.2 You must enter a valid email address as this will be the method of contacting you if you are the winner.
3.3 Click on "Submit" no later than August 03 2010 at 11:59 pm (ET).
3.4 A confirmation email along with an activation link will be sent to your email address that you provide you must click the activation link in order for your entry to be activated.
3.5 On the activation page you will be asked to login to your Facebook account only if you wish to gain extra entries from clicking “Like” and commenting on the comment box provided on the Giveaway Entry Page.
3.6 On the activation page you will also be given a “Special Link Code”. You may gain extra automatic entries into the giveaway by referring a friend with your unique “Special Link Code”.
3.7 Give this “Special Link Code” to your friends and for every person who activates their entry, you will get an automatic extra entry into the Giveaway.
The selected entrant will be contacted by email address provided at the time of entry and will be required to confirm her/his eligibility before being declared a winner and provide their mailing address for the delivery of the prize in question.
If the selected entrant is of a minor age group (12-15 years of age), parental permission will be required to confirm her/his eligibility before being declared a winner and will have to provide their mailing address for the delivery of the prize in question.
If the selected entrant cannot confirm eligibility, or cannot be contacted within two (2) weeks of the selection date, that entrant will be disqualified and another randomly selected. The process will be repeated as necessary until a winner is declared.
All decisions of the Giveaway directors and officers are final.
By confirming her/his eligibility the winner is confirming compliance with these rules and waiving any liability of HotNewMakeUp and their affiliates, employees, officers directors, arising out of the conduct of the Giveaway and the acceptance and use of the prize as awarded.
HotNewMakeUp shall, in its absolute discretion, disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the operation of the Web site or the administration of the Giveaway .
If, for any reason, the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Giveaway is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any causes beyond its control, HotNewMakeUp reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway, including cancellation of the method of entry and selection of a winner from previously received entries.
All entries become the property of HotNewMakeUp. By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and consent to the use of their name displayed as “The Giveaway Winner”without further notice or compensation.
At HotNewMakeUp we respect your privacy and value our relationship with you, any information entered for the Giveaway is strictly used for the purpose of the Giveaway and will not be saved or used at any later time or date.
4.Limits.
Entrants must respect the following limits otherwise they may be disqualified:
4.1 There is a limit of one (1) entry per household, per person, per email address, regardless of method of entry.
4.2 No two entrants may share the same email address.
4.3 One email address accepted per person.
4.4 If it is found that there is more than one entry per household, per person or email address (multiple entries) you will be disqualified and all entries submitted will be disqualified.
4.5 You can only gain extra automatic entries into the giveaway by referring a friend (this is done with the special link code you will receive once you confirm your email address), by clicking “Like” or adding a comment on the Entry Page once you are logged into your Facebook Account from our Activation Page.
Prizes
There is four (4) Prizes to be won.
Three (3) Weekly Mystery MakeUp Prizes - one (1) Weekly Mystery MakeUp Prize a week for the first three (3) weeks of the Giveaway Period and One (1) Grand Prize at the end of the Giveaway Period.
Each Weekly Mystery MakeUp Prize will be revealed only once the selected entrants has been chosen and announced.
Each Weekly Mystery MakeUp Prize has an approximate retail value of 3-10$ USD.
Now the Grand Prize on the other hand will consist of a cute makeup bag filled with makeup from e.l.f.'s "Sugar Kiss Collection".
This includes:

- e.l.f. Shimmer Eye Dust - ice skate
- e.l.f. Lip Color Trio - pinky

This Grand Prize has an approximate retail value of 30$ USD.
Four (4) eligible entries will be electronically selected at random (one (1) eligible entry every week) among all entries received and registered during the Giveaway period, in order to award the prizes described.
Prize must be accepted as awarded. No substitution or transfer of prize is allowed except at the sole discretion of the prize supplier who reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value.
Prize is not redeemable for cash or credit, in whole or in part. HotNewMakeUp will not be responsible for any loss, theft or misuse of the prize.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Verification. Entry forms are subject to verification by the Giveaway organizer. Any entry form that is illegible, incomplete, fraudulent, copied or received late will automatically be rejected and the entrant disqualified.
- Non-compliant entry. By entering the Giveaway, participants agree to abide by the rules and agree that decisions of the Giveaway organizer with regard to all aspects of the Giveaway including, without being limited to, eligibility and/or disqualification of entry forms, are final and without appeal. Any person entering or attempting to enter the Giveaway by means that are contrary to the rules or unfair to other participants (for example, entries in excess of the prescribed limit) will automatically be disqualified and may be referred to the competent legal authorities.
- Limitation of liability – use of prize. The winner releases the Giveaway organizer, their subsidiaries, affiliated companies, parent corporations, advertising and promotion agencies, employees, agents, representatives, officers and directors from any liability for damage of any kind whatsoever that he or his guests may suffer, directly or indirectly, by reason of acceptance, possession or use of the prize, including, among other things, accidents, injuries, death, loss of enjoyment, inconveniences, disappointments, worries or frustrations or a physical or psychological nature. In order to be declared winner and prior to obtaining the prize, the person selected in the Giveaway will need to confirm Liability and Compliance with Rules Form to this effect.
- Entrant’s identity. For the purposes of the rules, the entrant is the person whose name appears on the entry form and, in case of doubt, the owner of the e-mail address, and the prize will be awarded to this person should he be declared winner.
- Gender. The masculine gender is used in these rules solely for succinctness; it refers to both men and women.
- Rules regarding the keeping of personal information in connection with the Giveaway . Entrants’ personal information will be stored in the Giveaway database and the Giveaway organizer will use it to contact entrants for the purposes of the Giveaway. No other use will be made of entrants’ personal information.
