COVERGIRL Clean Foundation

The Covergirl Clean Foundation I received was the Oil Control,#555 Soft Honey foundation. For someone with sensitive skin but a small oily T-Zone, I just love trying out new products that will help with these two specific problems.

It claims to control the shine on my face without drying it up, as it is made with ultra-light oil-absorbers that will control the oil, plus gentle conditioners that will help prevent dryness. Most important of all, it says it wont clog pores, it will give me a clean, shine-free face hour after hour.

Oh Yes Must Have: This Foundation is available for 3 Skin Types (sensitive skin, normal skin, oil control)and comes in a variety of shades. There is 12 shades in total for the Oil Control Foundation.(Buff Beige, Classic Beige, Classic Ivory, Classic Tan, Creamy Beige, Creamy Natural, Ivory, Medium Light, Natural Beige, Soft Honey,Tawny and Warm Beige)

This foundation had a very smooth, silky texture to it as I blended it all over my face. No streaks or blotches. It dried up the very small amount of pimples I had without drying up my face. It did not give me a dry scaly skin after I removed my make-up, showing the gentle conditioners at work in this Clean Foundation. My face was smooth and well moisturized, no oily residues left behind.

It was so light that my husband had no idea I was even wearing Foundation when he leaned over kissing me the other day. It was light enough to wear to a club my girlfriends and I attended, and the Oil-Absorbers that Covergirl claimed was in this bottle really went to work when he hit the dance floor. Going for a quick bite after is when I realized that my face was not shiny and all greasy compared to my friend's faces.

It blended very well to the colour of my skin, so much so that I believe if you mistakenly pick up the wrong shade you wouldn't have to worry so much.

One last great thing about Covergirl in general, is that if you accidentally get some on your clothes, it washes off completely in the wash cycle when it's laundry day!



No Nos: Although this Foundation was light in texture when applied to my face, it was quite thick in the bottle and was difficult to mix when shaking before using. I would invert the bottle all the time before using in order to get the Foundation to come out better. I have found a mini-pump from another face product to pump out the Foundation and found it to be very successful.

It is such a light Foundation that it would only cover light freckles or small pimples, not the big nasty ones that came around when Aunt Flo visited. You can always apply more if this Foundation does not cover enough, but keep in mind to let the first coat dry very well before applying more coverage and blend, blend, blend.

Over all this is a great Foundation that anyone can purchase for as low as 3.99$ -8.99$. It delivered on all its claims and Covergirl remains to be one of the top Drug Store Brands on today's market.
