Too hot to cover up!
When the weather is hot and sticky, it can really make wearing foundation difficult. Nobody likes wearing a heavy paste all over their face when their skin is hot and sweaty already!
So what can you do to still get a little coverage during those hot summer months?
Try mixing a little of your day cream with a little of your foundation, this will create a tinted moisturizer. You will get the coverage you need without feeling like your wearing a heavy mask. And you will be using less foundation during summer, making that bottle of foundation last way longer than usual.
Much lighter on your face and dare I say much lighter on your wallet.

They also sell tinted moisturizers and tinted sunscreen, however your method is much more cost efficient! How much moisturizer and how much foundation do you usually mix together (as in what proportions)?

The amounts would all depend on how much coverage you feel you would need that day.
Start out with a small amount of foundation compared to moisturizer, say 1/4 part foundation to 3/4 part moisturizer and gradually add a few drops or scoops of a toothpick to the mixture (depending on the texture of your foundation, liquid or creamy) to the desired shade need for coverage.
Another tip would be to have the lightest shade of coverage possible, then finish off by adding some bronzer to your face. This would make your coverage much lighter, yet you would have a nice summer glow.

Fanastic Giveaway Entry - OMG that is such a great idea! I live in a desert so in the summer my foundation melts off me when I'm out running errands. I'm going to try this!
